Among the projects closest to our hearts, the Bouka Creativ’ Learning platform holds a special place. Built in partnership with the Boukarou incubator, it pursues an ambitious goal: supporting the upskilling of 42,000 young people across Cameroon’s 10 regions.

The challenge: training at scale, all across Cameroon

When Boukarou reached out to us, the need was clear but demanding: a platform able to host a massive number of learners, across urban and rural areas alike, with widely varying levels of internet access. This wasn’t just about putting courses online: it meant designing an experience that was genuinely accessible to a very diverse youth population.

Our approach

We structured the project around three priorities:

  1. Performance on limited connections: every page was optimized to load fast even on 3G, with particular attention paid to image and video weight.
  2. Ease of use: sign-up, navigating between modules, and progress tracking had to be understandable without any prior training.
  3. Robustness at scale: the infrastructure had to absorb spikes of simultaneous connections without any drop in service quality.

The results

Today, Bouka Creativ’ Learning is fully operational and continues to welcome new learners every week. Beyond the numbers, it’s the real-world impact that drives us: young people from regions often underserved by traditional training offerings now have access to quality learning paths, without needing to travel.

What this project taught us

Working at this scale confirmed something we believe deeply: a platform designed for the African context (mobile-first, light on data, simple to use) genuinely changes the game for access to training. It’s this approach we now apply to every new project, regardless of its size.
